December is definitely the time to get the scholarship search process in gear.  Christmas break is a great time to start this process.  With so many search engines out there to choose from, how do you find the best match for you?  To get the most bang for your buck, I recommend signing up on 3-5 search engines.  The key to getting the best matches is to complete as many questions on the profile as you can and continue to update your profile as things change.  This is especially important as you progress through your college years. Not all search engines are alike.   There are so many scholarship search engines on the web, how do you find out which ones are right for you?  There are search engines that cater to elementary students, high school students, undergrads and graduate students.  One of the biggest misconceptions about the scholarship search is that students should wait until their senior year of high school to start looking for scholarships.  The truth is, scholarships are available to students in elementary and middle schools. Can you imagine the results you would get by registering with a search engine in 6th or 7th grade?
