If you haven’t taken advantage of the opportunity to apply for a scholarship over the summer you still have time. If you receive a scholarship from an outside organization, apply it to your loan balance. All students including continuing college students should strive to find at least $5,000. One of my sons obtained over $200,000 in scholarship money, allowing him to attend the University of Southern California debt free and the other one received numerous full tuition offers. I will share in this blog lessons learned and what I did as a parent to help position them to receive these scholarships.
